We sent out an email blast, this past August, on the Walco VF200 Friction/Vacuum Feeder. I will list some of the features that are unique to this feeder:
The Walco VF200 feeder is a true "cross-breed", taking the best from both friction and shuttle feeding technologies and adding a few unique features as well. You can feed small post-cards, folded self mailers, or thick catalogs. Minimal set-up is required and no time-consuming experiments with different types of vacuum plates and feed gates. What makes' the VF200 unique? Consider the following:
•Friction and Vacuum are combined: Two wide belts, with a tacky rubber surface are used for a positive drive with a variety of material. These belts have vacuum holes and a vacuum blower can be turned on for additional grip when needed.
•Simple Set-up of Separator: The VF200 has a separator that is located between the feedbelts. It offers two durometers of rubber- one soft, and the other harder. This style of separation allows you to "bend" the material between the belts for "flexible separation". It's also very forgiving in regards to set-up. We've been able to feed everything from Plastic bags to catalogs with minimal change-over.
•The belts extend all the way to the back of the feed base: With a back wedge, you can decide how much of the belt should be in contact with your media. Even the largest pieces can have full contact with the belt if necessary. This is not the case with a vacuum shuttle or standard friction feeder.
•Flat Bed: Unlike a standard friction feeder, the VF200 has a flat bed........it's not angled downward. As a result, your media does not have to buckle or bend as it feeds (as it does with a traditional friction feeder).
•Can Feed a LARGE variety of material: Corrugated boxes, poly-wrapped magazines, uneven thickness, highly glossy, and more
